The Dubai International Film Festival is an annual celebration of film and those behind some of the best and most unique films out in the world. The event attracts film buffs from around the world to Dubai with this year’s red carpet guests including the acclaimed Martin Sheen, Cate Blanchett, Zac Efron, Mark Ruffalo, Jim Sheridan, Rooney Mara and the inimitable Andy Serkis with whispers of Christian Bale and Casey Affleck who may join in.From the Indian side of things the DIFF invites Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, indie film favorite Irrfan Khan and Javed Jaffrey. As for the Arab film industry, the DIFF invites Yousra, Nelly, Hassan Yousuf, Ezzat Al Alaily, Turkish actress Meltem Cumbu and many more.
The festival will screen films in four different locations which are the Mall of the Emirates cinemas, The Madinat Jumeirah theatre and arena as well as the free screenings outdoor at the Burj Park, also known as the Screen on the Green. |

The Color Run |

The Color Run is coming to the Middle East for the first time here in Dubai and it is going to be a day of fun, laughter, color and running for the whole family. The run will begin and end on the Dubai Autodrome tracks and participants will start in waves that have a three to six minute interval between them while color throws will occur every 15 to 20 minutes.
This 5k run is open to all levels of runners from athletes to moms and their kids, the Color Run is all about the fun rather than the race. Get ready to run through the colors of the rainbow all while having a blast with your family and friends.

Global Village 2013 - 2014 |

Global Village is the largest seasonal cultural extravaganza in the region that offers visitors an amazing array of festivals, shopping and entertainment in an open-air theme park. This entertainment and shopping destination is open for 161 days and hosts 70 participating countries presented in 36 pavilions, with more than 50 fun rides and 26 restaurants offering food from around the world.
Among the exciting shows will be the new iconic 3D mapping show, in addition to a Chinese Circus, trapeze artists and a tightrope performance. Street shows will feature Emirati performers, a Lion Dance, Drumming Circle and Fire Show. The cultural shows will include a Bollywood dance troupe, Polynesian dancers, a performance with Aboriginal Australians and African shows with artists from Ghana and West Africa.
